Title: Coffeehouse Angel
Author: Suzanne Selfors
Stars: 3.5
Summary from Goodreads
Pages: 276

From the author of Saving Juliet comes a romantic comedy that is good to the last drop. When Katrina spots a homeless guy sleeping in the alley behind her grandmother’s coffee shop, she decides to leave him a cup of coffee, a bag of chocolate-covered coffee beans, and some pastries to tide him over. Little does she know that this random act of kindness is about to turn her life upside down. Because this adorable vagrant, Malcolm, is really a guardian angel on a break between missions. And he won’t leave until he can reward Katrina’s selflessness by fulfilling her deepest desire. Now if only she could decide what that might be . . .

My thoughts:
This was a quick, easy read that I very much enjoyed. The plot was predictable. I mean, how many books have you read have been about drink/beverage shops closing? First there was Teashop Girls and not it's Coffeehouse Angel. I forgot the other book about a cafe closing...
Katrina had this odd, annoying character, but still good. She has an awesome name, Katrina. It has that special ring to it, it quote Tuck Everlasting the movie, "Floats of your tongue like a cloud" Yet, she had that angry, 'sassy' attitude towards Malcolm that I thought was unreasonable, but cool all the same. She has this awesome, fight-back-with-girl-power feeling about her. 3.9 stars to Katrina!
Malcom is, as I should say, adorable! But I can't really picture a cute guy wearing a kilt, or having a Scottish accent. It's odd, but I like Scotland (and Ireland!). His old fashioned way of talking adds to his cute character. Yet all of that good stuff is destroyed by his name! Malcom is just so ugly (no offense to you people named Malcolm) I keep thinking of that late night show on Nickelodeon, "Malcolm in the Middle" and Malcolm X. I mean, say it out loud, "Malcolm". See!
The other characters weren't so real or likable. All in all, it wasn't as good as I hoped it would be. I love Suzanne Selfors's Saving Juliet better.

I'm still into the "Angel" topic, they're still cool. I wonder what'll happen after the "angel" craze. What supernatural being will be chosen?
Vampires- done
Werewolves- done
Angels- still in
Monsters- hmm
Half Humans like centaurs or mermaids- I don't know...

  2. I think I've seen this one on one other blog so far. It seems pretty predictable, but it's nice to have a light, cute read once in a while! Great review!

About the technical help: On Blogger, you can't actually create new pages. (It sucks!) So, to go around this:
    1) Write a post about whatever you'd like the page to be (For example, a contact page)
    2) Once the post has been published, copy the URL for that post.
    3) Add a gadget to your main page (Maybe the Link List one?) and paste the URL for that page!

You can name the links whatever you'd like, so just title them as "Contact Me" or "About" or "Review Policy". This might sound a bit confusing, so if you still need help you can contact me on my blog!
